Stat Assistance staff have experience with two types of data sets, 1) first-hand and 2) secondary. First-hand data is data in which you collect and secondary data is data collect by an external orgnization.

• First-hand data, we can provided the following services:
  • Input your data to create a data file in excel or SPSS
  • Manipulate your data by creating new variables, recoding variables, or merging data files.
  • Consultation on develping data files (excel or SPSS)

• Secondary data, our staff have worked with various national data sets, including Early Childhood Longitudinal Study – Birth and Kindergarten, the National Education Longitudinal Study, the Common Core Data, and the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth. We can help you by pulling variables from secondary data sources and create a SPSS, SAS, or STAT data file. Or we can consult you as you learn to use various secondary data sources.
